1.      What are your strongest qualifications for this position?

Serving as State Superintendent since 2005, I know the challenges of public schools and have visited all 115 school districts.  I've been a public school  teacher, educational administrator, and author of two textbooks.  I have a doctorate in educational leadership & policy, NC State; M.S. in Vocational Ed., Va. Tech; and B.S.,Business Ed.  I have a proven record of leadership & innovation.	www.richardmorgan2008.com As Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives and as a Member for sixteen years, I have hands-on experience at the highest levels of state government including the crafting of more than eighteen state budgets ranging from eleven to eighteen billion dollars! Experience working with four NC Governors and budget writing skills qualify me to be a strong leader!
