QUALIFICATIONS

1.      What are your strongest qualifications for this position?

Goodwin (D) Odom (R) McMains (L)
I am the Assistant Commissioner of Insurance, and the only candidate with experience managing the Dept, including the Western Office in Asheville. I also served 8 years in the legislature. As an attorney, I regularly represented persons harmed by insurance company inactions or gross undervaluation of claims.  My opponents have none of this experience.
I have always been a people person and that will always be true.  My pledge to you is to protect the consumers by enforcing state insurance regulations while providing great service to consumers and agents. I have always had an open door policy for the people.  My pledge also includes assuring insurance company solvency and promoting a free market system and competition for better rates.
